Supercritical State a curated group exhibition by Freezing Fog.
βThe exhibition "Supercritical State" expresses a state of being above the critical temperature and pressure, alluding to the current social state we are in. Under the high pressure of continuous industrialization and commercialization of modern society, people are constantly alienated from the group, environment and society. Interaction has become online, and the physical has become virtual. People begin to feel nostalgic for the natural and simple civilization of the past.
In this exhibition, we want to transform the venue into a modern greenhouse garden, inviting the audience to imagine a utopia under the "supercritical state", to find a easing zone under the high pressure. By providing this modern and warm place, we aim to open up the topic of "human beings and nature" and re-examine the state of existence in the post-human era.
Through the unlimited imagination of the artists, we hope to present various forms of works to fill this modern garden, which is growing indifferently, and to reconnect the intimacy that has been severed by the continuous development of commercial civilization. We also invite the audience to enter the redefined greenhouse garden for a series of activities such as viewing, resting and picking. In the midst of frequent hustle and bustle and values wrapped in the present, we find a comfortable state of existence.β
