On Saturday, 24 May, we invite you to a special literary evening with acclaimed Libyan author Azza Maghur as she unveils her latest work, ‘The Chronicle of the Forest’.

Written during her self-exile from Libya, this deeply personal collection of stories reflects Maghur’s contemplative hikes through the Canadian wilderness. Interweaving poignant prose with her own breathtaking photography, the book captures the shifting seasons of both the landscape and her inner world—exploring themes of displacement, memory, resilience, and hope.
